Alphabet

Below you will find links to a set of large and medium alphabet cards. These can be used in conjunction with Michael Heggerty’s book, Phonemic Awareness: The Skills That They Need To Help Them Succeed! The medium size cards are a good size to work with during your phonemic activities and the larger cards are created to use on the wall or bulletin board in your classroom. Each set of cards has clues to the sound made by the letter.

Hint: Print each letter using tag board and then laminate to create a more permanent resource.

*Set - Indicates the entire alphabet set in one download. These files are in PDF format and require a Adobe Reader. All are available FREE as downloads in the download area for members only. Have a membership? Go to the download area and click the links to obtain the listed items below.

Letter Recognition

In the download section we have a set of lessons designed for the student that does not recognize each letter of the alphabet. This set provides them with further phonics practice for each letter. Each lesson has both a capital and lower case lesson that simply repeats the same set of words with identification of the upper and lower case letter. The upper case lessons are labeled with just the upper case letter. (A ) The lower case lessons are labeled with both the upper and lower case letter. (Aa) There is also a set of word wall words that are used in each lesson included in an Adobe file labeled using the letter represented and a “ww”to represent word wall. (Aww) Simply open and print each file to create a phonetic word list that is coordinated with each lesson.

Hint: I would print using tag board and then laminate to create a more permanent resource. These files are in PowerPoint format and require a PowerPoint Reader. All are available FREE as downloads in the download area for members only. Have a membership?
